2024 Endowment for the Arts Grant

The Community Foundation of Southern Arizona (CFSA) is now accepting applications for the Endowment for the Arts Grant!

The Endowment for the Arts Grant focuses on the arts organizations in rural communities, learning more about the work that is being done in these communities, enhancing our knowledge of that work, and increasing the amount of funding per organization. This process ensures grants make the greatest impact in Southern Arizona’s rural arts communities.

“We are committed to our community here in Bisbee, and with the support and funding from the CFSA Endowment for the Arts Grant, we will continue preserving our building, maintaining studio spaces, and bringing opportunities to artists of all ages and levels of accomplishments,” shared Laurie McKenna, Director of Central School Project.

CFSA has supported the arts since its founding in 1980. As one of only seven community foundations to receive a 2:1 challenge grant in 1986 from the National Endowment for the Arts, we embraced the opportunity to establish a fund to support the work of small- and medium-sized arts organizations based in rural communities.

Since 1987, 366 unrestricted operating grants have been distributed totaling $639,390.

Previous grant recipients include The Bisbee Radio Project, Inc., Central School Project, Inc., Ajo Council for the Fine Arts, Central School Project, Border Arts Corridor, Bi-National Arts Institute, Border Arts Corridor, Patagonia Creative Arts Association, and more.
