The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA) is pleased to announce that the Endowment for the Arts Fund has awarded $30,000 to 3 nonprofit organizations in Santa Cruz County.

The Endowment for the Arts Grant focuses on the arts organizations in rural communities, learning more about the work that is being done in these communities, enhancing our knowledge of that work, and increasing the amount of funding per organization. This process ensures grants make the greatest impact in Southern Arizona’s rural arts communities.

Congratulations to the following Endowment for the Arts Fund Grant Recipients:

“This grant assures our chorus the financial stability to allow us to continue providing grants that benefit local music programs, recruit top-notch directors/accompanists, offer a rich experience to our choristers, and delight our audiences with amazing music,” says April Hasson Hillard, Green Valley Community Chorus President.

CFSA has supported the arts since its founding in 1980. As one of only seven community foundations to receive a 2:1 challenge grant in 1986 from the National Endowment for the Arts, we embraced the opportunity to establish a fund to support the work of small- and medium-sized arts organizations based in rural communities.
