Ways to Give

When you give through the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, you join a powerful network of  individuals, families and businesses, each committed to impacting our community through their giving.

At the Community Foundation, we help people meet their charitable interests and financial goals.

Here are some ways you can give:

Support the Campaign for Civic Leadership.

Join others in supporting our community’s most pressing needs by donating unrestricted dollars.

Create a Donor Advised Fund.

Advise on grants to any charitable organization in the United States with the expert guidance of our professional staff. We manage the grant and reporting process to meet your needs.

Create a Field of Interest Fund.

Address needs and opportunities in a particular area of interest that match your interests and passion, such as arts, education, children or basic human needs.

Create a Designated Fund.

Select a particular charity to support. We manage the grant making process and ensure that your intent is honored, even if the organization is merged or goes out of business.

Give to the Community Foundation’s General Scholarship Program.

Support students who want to further their education beyond high school but need some financial assistance to achieve their academic dreams.

Give later through your estate.

Start a fund that will accrue interest and provide tax advantages now, but will not be distributed until after your lifetime. Join the Legacy Society by placing the Community Foundation in your estate plan to ensure that your charitable legacy is managed in a way that honors your specific intent, now and forever.

Plus, before you consider creating a Private Foundation:

Donor Advised Funds and Supporting Organizations can be cost effective alternatives to private foundations. Connect with us to compare four approaches to giving – direct gifts, donor advised funds and supporting organizations versus private foundations, then leave the investment management, startup costs, grant administration and reporting requirements to our professional staff.
