The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA) is pleased to welcome Mary Louise Luna as Director of Gift Planning. She is working with professional advisors in the community, assisting them with the philanthropic portions of their clients’ estates, and assisting nonprofit organizations in their work with prospective planned gift donors. Mary Louise will build and manage the Professional Advisory Committee at CFSA to collaborate with and broaden the scope for the Community Foundation.
For over 20 years, Mary Louise’s career has focused on fund development, with primary responsibility for legacy gifts. She previously served as Planned Giving Officer for the Carondelet Foundation where she managed a large portfolio of donors and prospective donors, and has worked extensively with many of southern Arizona’s professional advisors.
“Mary Louise brings to CFSA a level of experience in the cultivation and stewardship of donors” said Clyde Kunz, VP Development and Donor Services. “Mary Louise’s knowledge of the community and financial well-being for seniors will enable us to grow and establish a more engaged and active Professional Advisory Committee (PAC).”
Mary Louise is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern Arizona. She is co-founder of the Caregiver Consortium in Tucson and has served as the Chair for AFP’s National Philanthropy Day. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from Catholic University of America.
