Arizona Together for Impact Fund
Lois Savage, President of the Lodestar Foundation, will discuss the Arizona Together for Impact Fund. This initiative is a new enterprise to encourage and support formal enduring collaboration between nonprofit organizations in Arizona.

Since its inception 18 years ago, The Lodestar Foundation has supported nonprofits in their efforts to explore the feasibility of creating long-term collaborations and to help create such collaborations.

“How to know when you’re ready for a merger or partnership strategy”
Jean Butzen, the President of Mission Plus Strategy Consulting, will conduct a one hour workshop that will review, at a basic level, the inventory of steps that nonprofit leaders and boards can use to determine when a merger or partnership strategy makes sense for your nonprofit. The workshop will cover issues such as:  identifying the business drivers, how to introduce the topic to your board, how to search for a partner and then hold your first conversation; and where to get the resources to finance your expenses. This will be an interactive workshop; people are encouraged to come ready to ask questions about their own pending affiliations.
