CRU Grants Process Underway

The Fund for Civility, Respect & Understanding’s Grant Round kicked off with an informational session on Dec. 5th.

Applications for this competitive grant round will be accepted from Jan. 8, 2013 – Feb. 8, 2013 and decisions about the awards will be announced in April 2013.

The Fund will make grants in the following interest areas:

Projects that educate and provide resources to combat bullying throughout the lifespan.

Projects that target the reduction of the stigma of mental illness so that people can get the support and help that they need.

The Fund for Civility, Respect & Understanding is one of hundreds of funds at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. It was created by the Ron Barber family to sustain and build upon the outpouring of good will, compassion and kindness that was the community’s response to the tragic events in Tucson on January 8, 2011.
