To fully embrace systems change, funders and partners should be prepared to see how their own ways of thinking and acting must change as well. Real and equitable progress requires exceptional attention to the detailed and often mundane work of noticing what is invisible to many.

In partnership with the Frances McClelland Institute for Children, Youth, and Families, Pima County Community and Workforce Development, Primavera Foundation, and Social Venture Partners Tucson, the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona is pleased to host Understanding Poverty Part 2: Systems Change and Local Action, on March 5, 2024, at the Community Foundation Campus.

This workshop will be facilitated by Bonnie Bazata, the Ending Poverty Program Manager with Pima County Community & Workforce Development, and will feature a presentation by Jim Kiser, author of the Opportunity Report.

Join us for this special event to strengthen your awareness of local data on economic opportunity and the social conditions that keep poverty in place. This event welcomes newcomers and is part of a continued education and action series focused on building a community of promise and opportunity for all.
