Vital Nonprofit BLOOM Award

The Vital Nonprofit BLOOM Award recognizes a nonprofit organization in Southern Arizona that has made an exceptional contribution to creating a vibrant and equitable community for all. Vital nonprofits are mission-driven, impactful, and sustainable organizations that address essential community needs, drive social change, and enhance quality of life. These nonprofits are the backbone of efforts to tackle pressing societal, environmental, and cultural challenges, embodying the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona’s values of Savvy and Adaptability.

Award nominations will open in the fall of 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The nominee must be a 501(c)3 in good standing.
  • The nominee must share CFSA’s Savvy and Adaptability Values. Savvy is the cultivation of expertise in philanthropy and collaboration, combined with a deep understanding of communities and the nonprofit sector. It involves making strategic decisions, fostering partnerships, and investing time and resources wisely to create lasting impact and achieve long-term goals. Adaptability is the ability to respond to and meet the evolving needs of the community, adjusting strategies and actions as those needs change over time.
  • Nominees must be based in Southern Arizona, including Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima, Santa Cruz, Yuma, parts of Pinal County, or within one of six tribal nations: Cocopah, Fort Yuma Quechan, Gila River, Pascua Yaqui, San Carlos Apache, and Tohono O’odham.
