Ask an Expert: Rough Times for Asian Americans – What’s Going On & Why?

In this interactive session, Richard Koo will provide some insights into the increased level of racial violence and stigmatism directed toward Asian Pacific Islander Desi Americans.  By exploring some of the history and dynamics at play, the participants will have an opportunity to share their perspectives with our presenter and discuss what steps can be taken on a personal level when confronted with a bias incident and on a community level to strive for solutions that could uplift all marginalized communities.

About Our Presenter

Richard Koo, originally from New York, has practiced business law for over 40 years.  As a volunteer, he currently serves as Board Chair of Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona and as a member of the Tucson Medical Center Ethics Committee.
