What really makes a successful grant application? Applicants in search of the answer may also wonder what the thought process is like for the person reviewing them. In this 90-minute panel, experienced grant reviewers will share their perspectives on what makes a grant application stand out in a competitive grant process.

Panel Facilitator: Jeaiza Quiñones Ivory, Director of Community Investments

In her current role, Jeaiza has primary responsibility for CFSA’s community investment work, including competitive grantmaking, strategy development, and implementation for a portfolio of strategic grants, special projects, and initiatives. She is committed to helping to remove barriers that often define the funder-grantee relationship, increasing access to communities historically underrepresented in philanthropic work and pursuing additional opportunities for unrestricted grantmaking, which has been a transformative aspect of her work in Southern Arizona.

Jeaiza will be joined by a panel of four experienced grant reviewers from the community whose expertise includes a solid understanding of community-based nonprofits and varied experiences reviewing/scoring grant proposals for a wide range of grant programs, include CORE Grants.
