The HR Roundtable gathers on the last Thursday of the month, where we share our experiences in building better workplaces and discuss relevant themes within the scope of Human Resources in organizations that have a positive social impact.

The ongoing Roundtable for Human Resources professionals in nonprofits will hold its next meeting on June 29th from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at the CFSA Campus.

In this month’s meeting, we will be joined by Kurt Tullar, JD, SHRM-SCP, presenting Having Hard Conversations – Being Kind While Setting Expectations During Corrective Actions and Performance Evaluations.

Kurt Tullar is an experienced Director of HR, attorney, and coach. With over 20 years of experience in boardrooms, courtrooms, and weight rooms, he has had tough conversations with people from all walks of life on their best and their worst days. He leverages his knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and coaching to bring you a practical method to engage with your team in a helpful and applicable way. As the current Director of People and Culture of SAAF, he also uses these same techniques daily to drive change and help employees to live more fulfilling work lives.
