The pandemic has left many nonprofit professionals wondering “what’s next?” And while we’re wringing our hands, many of our donors are feeling insecure as well. Economic uncertainty may be affecting the giving of some; others are beginning to question the impact of their giving, shifting their gifts exclusively to organizations providing direct services. Most likely feel at least some disconnection from the organizations they have supported in the past.
During this session we will share some ideas for successful donor retention during these unusual times. Please bring your ideas to share with the group, and examples of successful strategies the organizations you support have employed to maintain your connection. Together, we (and our donors!) can get through this!
About Our Presenter
Clyde Kunz has held management and fund development positions in nonprofit organizations since 1987. In 2005, he was honored by the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) as “Fundraising Executive of the Year.”
As an active member of the fund development profession, Mr. Kunz has served as President of the AFP Southern Arizona chapter, as Chair of LEAVE A LEGACY Southern Arizona, and as President of the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern Arizona.
Mr. Kunz served for more than 10 years as instructor with the Nonprofit Management Institute, a professional development entity of Arizona State University’s Lodestar Center for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Innovation.
He has served on several nonprofit boards of directors, and currently serves as Board Chair of True Concord Voices & Orchestra. He is on Advisory Boards for the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona, and the (national) Episcopal Church Foundation.
