Splendido Residents Association Scholarship

Splendido Residents Association Scholarships are generously funded by donations from residents of Splendido at Rancho Vistoso.  In 2021-2022, twenty-four employees and their dependents received scholarships. 2022-2023 will mark the fourteenth consecutive year of the Residents Scholarship program which, to date, has awarded 159 scholarships totaling $1,024,208. Splendido Residents Association Scholarships are restricted to employees or the dependent of employees of Splendido at Rancho Vistoso.

The qualifying individual must have been employed at least six months as of the application due date and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week. All applicants must maintain a 2.5 GPA for high school or undergraduate study or a 3.0 GPA for graduate study. Recipients may reapply for a maximum of four years of funding.

Application Process –University/College or Vocational/Business Students

The Splendido Residents’ Association Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year will open via CFSA’s “Common Grant Application” website on Monday, January 3, 2022. Applicants attending two-year or four-year college or university, vocational or business schools will be utilizing the application form titled “Splendido Scholarship A.”

Splendido Residents’ Association Scholarship

The Splendido Residents’ Association Scholarship (A) awards $10,000 for full-time study and $5,000 for part-time study at a four-year institution. It awards $2,500 for full-time study and $1,250 for part-time study at a two-year institution. For vocational or business school students, this scholarship awards up to $10,000 not exceeding the cost of tuition, fees, and books to students attending an accredited business or vocational school.

The Splendido Residents’ Association Scholarship (B) awards $500 for students attending a GED program or English as a second language (ESL) courses not to exceed $1,250.

As funding allows, eligible recipients may reapply for the scholarship in subsequent years, up to a maximum of four years of scholarship awards. Scholarships can be used for undergraduate or graduate study.

Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA for high school or undergraduate study, or a 3.0 GPA for graduate study to be eligible for this scholarship. First time applicants must be an employee or the dependent of an employee of Splendido at Rancho Vistoso. The qualifying individual must have been employed for at least 12 months as of the application due date and work an average of at least 12 hours per week. The employee must be in good standing.

Applications must be completed and submitted by February 25, 2022 at 5:00 PM Mountain Time to be considered for academic year 2022-23. Late submissions will not be accepted. Recipients will be notified of the application outcome by April 2022. Be sure to complete all information in the application before submission, including uploading required documents.

All scholarship awards are sent directly to the recipient’s university or institution. No awards will be made directly to an applicant. Universities or institutions must have nonprofit (501c3) status. Scholarship recipients must acknowledge their acceptance of the award by signing the agreement sent to them upon notification of their award within the timeframe outlined in the award documents. Failure to return the agreement within the specified timeframe will result in forfeiture of the scholarship.

Additional Requirements

The scholarship recipient or a designated representative must attend the Splendido Residents Association scholarship award program on May 15, 2022 to receive the scholarship award. Recipients who do not attend or send a designated representative will result in forfeiture of the scholarship award.
