Writing a grant can be a challenging process, and certain sections are often more difficult due to their complexity and the level of detail required. Mastering these sections requires thorough research, careful planning, and alignment with the funder’s goals and expectations. Above all, the grant must be written in a concise and compelling manner that piques the reviewer’s interest and compels them to support your organization.

In this four-hour workshop, participants will take a hands-on approach to mastering the most challenging parts of the grant process. Through interactive dialogue and guided exercises, they will learn practical strategies for building a clear, persuasive case for funding. Participants will strengthen their skills by reviewing and providing feedback on peer-written writing samples.

Participants will leave empowered with proven strategies and the confidence to transform their grant language into persuasive, funder-ready proposals

Workshop Requirements:

  • Willingness to have your work reviewed by a peer reviewer and the workshop facilitator.
  • Submission of required grant sample to facilitator prior to the workshop. This is a very important piece of the workshop, and this process ensures everyone comes prepared to work and learn. But no need to stress! An outline for the grant sample will be provided two weeks before the due date, giving you plenty of time to prepare.
