This insightful and informative session will be facilitated by Linda Hollis, Ph.D. who is the Assistant Professor of Practice and Coordinator for the Healthy Aging Certificate program in the Psychology Department at the University of Arizona. The focus will be on our aging society and the myths and stereotypes about aging as well as offer insights into the challenges and opportunities that will emerge from this demographic shift.

About Our Speaker
For over 25 years, Dr. Linda Hollis has worked in the field of aging, behavioral health, and nonprofit executive leadership. Her passion for aging stems from her work in various long-term care and community settings, both in Canada and the U.S. Dr. Hollis received her Master’s in Gerontology, specializing in Alzheimer’s Disease, an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Psychology, focusing on Human-Animal Bonding. Recently, Dr. Hollis has participated in the development and implementation of the Insights into Healthy Aging Certificate for undergraduate students at the University of Arizona and recently developed the new Community Certificate – Insights into Healthy Aging: For Caregivers and Professionals.
