Supporting Globe and Miami After Devastating Flash Floods

The communities of Globe and Miami in Gila County are beginning the long process of recovery after devastating flash floods tore through the area late last week, damaging homes, schools, and businesses.

A disaster assistance center is now open at the Gila County Fairgrounds, 900 E. Fairground Road in Globe. Staff are providing help with cleanup, debris removal, and counseling to residents affected by the floods.

How You Can Help
The Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce is collecting urgently needed supplies at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce (1360 N. Broad St., Globe, AZ), including:

  • Shovels
  • Gloves
  • Brooms
  • Mops
  • Fans
  • Squeegees

Financial contributions are also needed. The Salvation Army is accepting donations specifically for the Globe-Miami community. Monetary donations enable responders to address both immediate and long-term needs. Donate online or by texting “GLOBE” to 51555.
