In partnership with Rescue Me Marana, Pima Alliance for Animal Welfare is hosting an Adopt Love, Adopt Local adoption event with local rescue groups at the Tucson Premium Outlets on Saturday, October 23 from 9 am to 2 pm.
Adopt Love, Adopt Local works to connect adopters with a collaboration of local shelters and rescues to increase adoptions and awareness of animal welfare in Southern Arizona. The event will feature local rescue groups with both cats and dogs available for adoption, and is part of a fun day of animal welfare activities scheduled that day at Tucson Premium Outlets.
Prior to the adoption event from 8 to 10 am is “Strut Your Mutt,” a stroll or 5K that lets people bring out their dogs and cats in style. This is a chance to get some exercise while raising money for a good cause. Money raised will go to helping save the lives of homeless pets in Southern Arizona.
In the evening, Rescue Me Marana will host a Yappy Meower from 5 to 7 pm in front of their store front at the Tucson Premium Outlets. This is a pet-friendly mocktail happy hour for people and their furry friends.
