Congratulations 2020 Catchafire Grant Recipients!

As part of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona’s commitment to increasing the capacity of nonprofits in Southern Arizona, we granted Catchafire memberships to 100 local nonprofit organizations in 2019.  In that first year, grantees completed more than $1.8 million in projects through their Catchafire memberships, representing over 9,000 volunteer hours and 440 individual projects.

During our first year, our nonprofit partners used Catchafire to bring their programming online during social-distancing mandates, transitioned to digital fundraising, and matched with volunteers to create new websites, infographics, and donor letters.  Given the success of the program and the overwhelming positive feedback we received from our nonprofit partners, CFSA expanded our Catchafire Program to offer year-long memberships to 500 nonprofits in Southern Arizona in 2020.
