This summer, the Center for Healthy Nonprofits is partnering with Alexander | Carrillo Consulting to offer a nine-month Partners in Leadership Institute designed to achieve these important outcomes.
Paula Van Ness, Director of the Center for Healthy Nonprofits, and the Alexander | Carrillo Consulting Team bring extensive personal and professional experience in the field of nonprofit organizational development. The Partners in Leadership Institute program was based on extensive personal and professional experience in the field, research on evidence-based best practices, models of other national programs, and BoardSource curricula. This series is designed for nonprofit leaders who aspire to build their skills and develop a strong CEO-Board partnership, which is essential for effective nonprofit governance.
This program is open to the CEO and up to two board members to participate in a cohort of approximately thirty participants representing up to ten diverse nonprofits.
In this dynamic learning environment, participants will start with a comprehensive organizational assessment to identify specific areas of focus for their Nonprofit Leadership Team, followed by five individualized sessions with a coach to create and implement individualized goals and objectives. Throughout this process, participants will attend in-person sessions to discuss emerging leadership, governance, and organizational development best practices, as well as share experiences and knowledge with peers.

Structure:
- Four half-day sessions with the full Cohort of participants
- One 1.5-hour Board Service Orientation for each member of your Board of Directors, offered monthly, August through May
- Five customized planning sessions for your Nonprofit Leadership Team & coach, scheduled individually.
- Welcome Reception & Graduation Celebration events.
- Note: Participants must commit to attending all sessions.
