Course Description: Managing value is everyone’s responsibility, especially when an organization is in the midst of turbulence. It requires a commitment to determining what can create long term value and the levers of organizational performance. This session for managers and leaders with limited to no financial background is aimed at advancing their basic knowledge of financial performance. In this course, you will gain exposure to the following concepts: the present value of money; the idea of opportunity-cost and the framework to evaluate projects and how value is created. In addition, the session will provide a quick introduction to financial statements; cost-benefit analysis (NPV) and how changes in cash flows impact an organization’s value.
