SUMMARY:Leading Inclusively: Who Are We as a Community
DESCRIPTION:The Center for Healthy Nonprofits is excited to host a 4-part webinar\, led by Domonic Rollins – Leading Inclusively: Identity & Community Development for Nonprofit Professional Staff \nDomonic Rollins recently presented at our Reimaging Nonprofit Board Conference on the topic of Inclusion for Boards. We are excited to have him back to present a four-part series geared to nonprofit professional staff on the topic of Inclusion\, Diversity\, Equality and Access (IDEA). He will be offering four 90-minute virtual training sessions focused on the personal and professional identity journey for non-profit leaders in pursuit of creating more diverse\, equitable\, and inclusive organizations. \nEach session will build on the preceding one. It is best if you can attend all four sessions. The registration links are included in each session description. \nSeries Dates \n\nApril 26 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 AM | Who Am I As A Nonprofit Leader: Recognizing Our Stories\, Identities & Blind Spots | Register\nMay 17 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 AM | Who Are We As A Community: Understanding Socializing Forces\, Data & Information | Register\nJune 21 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 AM | How Do We Move: Using Reflection & Dialogue to Lead Inclusively | Register\nJuly 12 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 AM | Staying in Action: Charting One’s Growth & Development | Register\n\n\nSession II: Who Are We as a Community  \nUnderstanding Socializing Forces\, Data\, & Information \nTogether\, we share a collective experience – every day\, we get up\, eat\, work\, play\, and go to bed. Yet\, our individual experiences and what sense we make of them vary based on our identities and social location. Developing one’s capacity to understand experiences different from our own is the mark of a great leader and is necessary to lead inclusively. This session will focus on nonprofit leaders on considering how the cycle of socialization shaped them and others. Specifically addressing the ladder of inference\, this session will draw out how our socialization impacts what we see and don’t as available data\, thereby creating and constraining how we make decisions. \nThis session will be held via Zoom on May 17\, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM.  \nTo register\, please select the ‘Register Here’ button above. \n\n
