Luis partners with nonprofits, public systems, and foundations to help them think creatively about how to best implement their missions. He leads projects in strategy development, business planning, mergers and other forms of collaboration, and leadership development. Luis has a background in both marketing and nonprofit management, giving him a unique perspective and set of skills to share with clients. Prior to joining La Piana in 2006, Luis was a Strategic Director at national research and strategy firm Cheskin. He also served as Executive Director of Youth Radio and as Senior Policy Associate with Safe Passages.
Kelly Fryer has 25+ years of experience as a nonprofit executive, small business owner and former minister. She founded Kelly Fryer & Associates, LLC to help mission-driven leaders and organizations do what’s next. Kelly teaches courses in innovation and social entrepreneurship in the UArizona Eller College of Management, is a Flinn-Brown fellow and former candidate for Arizona governor.
Arizona Together for Impact is a statewide pilot initiative to improve the capacity and financial health of nonprofits. With a 3-year grant program which launched in November 25, 2019, the $1.5 million fund provides resources to organizations seeking to become more effective through strategic partnerships to sustained collaborations.
