Supporting the Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American Community in Southern Arizona

The mission of the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Fund of Southern Arizona is to strengthen the Southern Arizona APIDA community through engagement and collaboration.

The APIDA Fund endeavors to:

  • Promote philanthropy within the APIDA community in Southern Arizona and greater.
  • Give to APIDA causes through a strategic grant focus, which will attract grants and gifts.
  • Serve as a community convener to help determine common priorities and give voice to common issues.
  • Strengthen and uplift ongoing community work by encouraging collaboration.
  • Promote the celebration of APIDA heritage and culture in Southern Arizona.

In October 2023, members of the APIDA community first gathered at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona to explore what a collaborative effort in philanthropy for Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi Americans living in Southern Arizona could be. After a series of community meetings, research, and planning, the fund formally opened early in 2025. Dozens of community members contributed their time, voices, and effort resulting in the establishment of the APIDA Fund.

Support the Cause

Together we can support APIDA causes in Southern Arizona, creating opportunities for members of our diverse community to come together in support of our common goals and celebration of our rich heritage and culture.
