In the heart of Arizona’s summer, leaders from the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) and the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA) gathered for a day of collaboration, reflection, and planning. This meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening philanthropy across Arizona through shared learning and a commitment to achieving a more profound statewide impact.
The convening brought together staff and leadership from both organizations to explore the most pressing needs of our communities, identify partnership opportunities, and build relationships grounded in trust and shared purpose. The conversation centered on organizational strengths, regional challenges, and the long-term potential in collaboration to better serve Arizona’s diverse communities.
Community Foundations are uniquely positioned to bring together investment opportunities and wealth management with charitable giving. With experts who live and work in the community, each organization has decades of historical knowledge of the community’s needs. Grantmaking and scholarship experts at ACF and CFSA have established key relationships with nonprofits serving their communities, thought leaders, and industry experts who can help identify solutions to some of the biggest challenges. They routinely collaborate with other funding organizations and groups, corporate giving programs, and local and state officials who represent the communities to make the greatest impact through philanthropy.
