CFSA Now Hiring for Three Positions

The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona offers outstanding career opportunities for individuals interested in supporting the incredible nonprofit sector in Southern Arizona and assisting donors in fulfilling their charitable wishes.

We are currently seeking applicants for three critical positions: Chief Operating Officer, Major Gifts Officer, and Program Manager.


Chief Operating Officer

CFSA is currently hiring a Chief Operating Officer to translate the organization’s vision and strategy into integrated operational tactics, strengthening the internal infrastructure needed to achieve our purpose: to create an equitable and vibrant community for all Southern Arizonans by connecting donors to the causes they care about, now and forever.

Reporting to the President & CEO and serving as a member of the Leadership Team, the COO will lead and manage several core internal functions of the organization. Those functions currently include Talent and Human Resources, Operations, Data and Systems, and Marketing and Communications. Experience with systems, process improvement, and scaling is essential. The ideal candidate will bring a systems-minded, inclusive, and collaborative approach to the management of CFSA. The COO plays a pivotal role in making CFSA an incredible place to work for our team and ensuring our culture is rooted in inclusion, diversity, equity, access, and continuous improvement.

Major Gifts Officer

CFSA is currently hiring a Major Gifts Officer to build development activities and major gifts fundraising at CFSA by assisting current and prospective donors in identifying and actualizing their philanthropic goals.

Reporting to the Vice President for Philanthropy, this position will work within the Philanthropy Department to support all fund development and implementation of donor acquisition strategies and ensure long-term engagement through donor stewardship and recognition. This position also serves as the primary strategist and partner to a portfolio of donors from first contact through legacy giving.

Program Manager, Community Investments

CFSA is currently hiring a Program Manager to provide high-level support and coordination for a variety of grant programs, as well as CFSA’s portfolio of scholarship programs, education-related grants, and education-related field of interest impact funds. This position will also manage other grants as assigned and work in close collaboration with the Director of Community Investments to achieve department goals.

As part of a collaborative team, the Program Manager is internally focused and works collaboratively with other CFSA staff and is also externally focused on building productive relationships with educational institutions, donors, students, and nonprofit partners. This position provides institutional knowledge of issues related to education and scholarships, the nonprofit sector, and the Southern Arizona region. This position also provides staff support to committees and serves as a CFSA representative at community meetings and events.
