In partnership with Rescue Me Marana, Pima Alliance for Animal Welfare, an initiative of CFSA, hosted an Adopt Love, Adopt Local adoption event where local rescue groups adopted out 45 cats and dogs at the Tucson Premium Outlets on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Adopt Love, Adopt Local works to connect adopters with a collaboration of local shelters and rescues to increase adoptions and awareness of animal welfare in Southern Arizona.
Prior to the adoption event, Rescue Me Marana also hosted “Strut Your Mutt,” a 5K walk that let people bring out their dogs and cats in style. The event has raised $1,100 so far, and continues through the end of the month. Money raised will go to helping save the lives of homeless pets in Southern Arizona.
The event was sponsored by Tucson Electric Power, who provided support and volunteers for the event.
