The Phil and Carol Lyons Family Fund, a donor advised fund of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, is now accepting applications for its 2020-2021 grant round for nonprofit organizations in Tucson and Flagstaff.

Only one application will be accepted per organization and applications are limited to a maximum of $5,000.  Proposals must fall within established guidelines.

The grant period is for one year: September 1, 2020 – August 31, 2021.

Applications open on Monday, June 15, 2020.  Deadline to submit grant applications is Friday, July 17, 2020 at 5 pm.

The Lyons’ family invites nonprofit organizations in Tucson and Flagstaff to submit an application for programs/projects that align with one of the following focus areas:

  1. Programs/projects that help students and adults (especially from minority backgrounds, first-generation, traditionally underrepresented populations, economically disadvantaged, and single mothers) develop career advancement skills and employment opportunities in order to become self-sufficient, create economic opportunity, and succeed in life.
  2. Programs/projects that help veterans and their families access services they need in order to thrive.
