Women’s Foundation moving to new offices at 1661 N. Swan
The Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona is moving to new offices in Tucson, Arizona this August. Several factors contributed to the need for more space, including record recent growth at both the Women’s Foundation and the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. In the last five years, the Women’s Foundation achieved 350% growth in revenue, expanded its annual grantmaking from $100,000 to $600,000 and grew its Southern Arizona staff from one to 4. At the same time, the Community Foundation’s staff has increased by 40%. With both organizations seeing tremendous growth, the need for space at their current location on Broadway is not adequate for either organization.
“We’re grateful to the Community Foundation for making our growth possible,” says Dawne Bell, CEO of the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona. “As we’ve increased the number of our volunteers and community partners, we need a larger space to work and convene.”
“The Community Foundation is cognizant of our growth and the need for nonprofits to have high quality space to work, convene and partner” says Clint Mabie, CEO of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona. “We are currently exploring creating a Center for Non Profits in a new, larger building that will meet the needs of all the organizations under our umbrella including increased space for the Women’s Foundation. The Nonprofit Center will address the ongoing difficulties that smaller nonprofits have in finding high quality, affordable office space and help build an environment for community collaboration and dialogue.”
Beginning August 1, 2016, the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona’s new address is 1661 N. Swan, Suite 150, Tucson, AZ, 85712.
