Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona teams with Community Foundation for Southern Arizona to increase impact and resources
for the arts in the region

June 29, 2017 (TUCSON, Ariz.) — The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona (Arts Foundation) and the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA) are pleased to announce the Arts Foundation will become a 501(c)(3) supporting organization of CFSA starting July 1. The Board of Directors for the Arts Foundation agreed that the alignment will help expand the integration of the arts and culture into all aspects of our community by inspiring our diverse region and improving the quality of life through ensuring the health and vitality of our artists and cultural facilities.

“As members of the Board of the Arts Foundation, we seek the best stewardship possible of arts
funding,” said Jim Glock, president of the Board of Directors of the Arts Foundation. “This affiliation
allows us to put more money into funding, program support, research, and advocacy efforts, directly supporting and serving the arts in Southern Arizona.”

The Arts Foundation joins other supporting organizations, programs and geographic affiliates under CFSA such as the Nonprofit Loan Fund of Tucson and Southern Arizona, African American Initiative, LGBT&S Alliance Fund and Social Venture Partners of Tucson among others.

“We are delighted to welcome the Arts Foundation to the CFSA family,” said Fred Chaffee, Chair of the
Board of Trustees at CFSA. “We are confident that our alliance will improve lives in the region by leveraging and attracting increased resources to benefit and grow our rich and diverse culture through the arts.”
