The Phil and Carol Lyons Family Fund is a donor-advised fund of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, opens its 2018-2019 grant round for nonprofit organizations in Tucson and Flagstaff. Proposals must fall within established guidelines; only one application will be accepted per organization and are limited to a maximum of $5,000.
The grant period is for one year: October 1, 2018 – September 30, 2019.
The Lyons’ are inviting nonprofit organizations in Tucson and Flagstaff to submit an application for programs/projects that align with one of the following focus areas:
- Programs/projects that help people acquire the life skills needed to assist them in improving their employment opportunities.
- Programs/projects that help students (especially from minority backgrounds and/or those who are the first in their families to pursue a higher education) develop career advancement skills in order to become self-sufficient and succeed in life.
- Programs/projects that help veterans and their families access services they need in order to thrive.
- Programs that help refugees access the services they need to settle and build their families and careers.
Applications open on Monday, July 2, 2018; deadline to submit grant applications is Friday, August 3, 2018, at 5 pm (Phoenix time).
