The African American Initiative is conducting its annual grant round. The application process is now open and will close on Friday, October 14, 2016
Basic Grant Guidelines:
Nonprofit organizations serving Pima County are invited to submit grant applications that focus on collaborative, innovative programs designed to improve educational outcomes. The definition of education is very broad; examples include, but are not limited to, projects that focus on early childhood, retention strategies to keep children in school, enrichment and other non-traditional opportunities, leadership development, the acquisition of specific skills, or preparation for higher education. Grant requests up to $10,000 will be considered.
All potential applicants are required to attend a mandatory workshop. For your convenience, two have been scheduled – choose one:
Workshop A: September 13 from 9 – 11 a.m. OR
Workshop B: September 27 from 3 – 5 p.m.
Both workshops will be held at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, 2250 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson.
Application guidelines and forms will be distributed at the mandatory workshops.
