Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation Opens Grants Cycle for Oral Health Funding

dentalThe Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of its 2015 community grants program, which provides funding to organizations helping to improve the oral health of Arizonans.

Grant applications will be available online at on June 20.

“Approximately 50% of Arizona kindergarteners have untreated tooth decay, often due to limited access to adequate dental services. The programs funded by these grants will promote good oral health practices and increase access to safe and effective preventive dental care,” said Sandi Perez, Ph.D., vice president of communications and community benefits for Delta Dental of Arizona.

Organizations have until Sep. 4 to apply for one, two or three-year grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 to support oral health promotion and dental disease prevention and education programs. The Foundation will consider a wide range of preventive and educational oral health programs for families throughout Arizona.

In addition, Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation will offer several workshops to help organizations write concise and compelling proposals for oral health programming.

The technical assistance workshop in Tucson will be:

Friday, July 25, from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, located at 2250 E. Broadway Blvd.

A number of workshops may be accessed via conference call* at 866-910-4857, passcode 805209.
